Before Eurovision[edit]

EuroBGVision 2005[edit]

EuroBGVision 2005 was the national final format developed by BNT in order to select Bulgaria's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. The competition consisted of a semi-final and a final on 22 January and 12 February 2005 respectively. The semi-final took place at the BNT studios in Sofia and the final took place at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. Both shows were hosted by Aleksandra Surchadzhieva and Deyan Slavchev.[1]

Format[edit]

The competition consisted of a semi-final on 22 January 2005 and a final on 12 February 2005. Twenty-four songs competed in the semi-final and the top twelve qualified by the votes of an expert jury. Twelve songs consisting of the twelve semi-final qualifiers competed in the final, where public televoting determined the winner.

Competing entries[edit]

BNT received 93 entries, and an expert committee selected twenty-four songs for the competition. The list of competing artists and songs were released on 18 January 2005.[2]

Semi-final[edit]

The semi-final took place on 22 January 2005. Twenty-four songs competed and the top twelve entries as determined by an expert jury advanced to the final.[3]
