This list contains the top 20 tweets with the most likes on the social networking platform Twitter; Twitter does not provide an official list but the news media makes lists.[1][2][3][4] As of August 2020, the most liked tweet has over 7 million likes and was tweeted from the account of actor Chadwick Boseman announcing his death from cancer.[5] Two accounts have more than one of the most-liked tweets in the top 20: South Korean band BTS have eleven, and former U.S. President Barack Obama has two.

The following table lists the top 20 most-liked tweets on Twitter, the account that tweeted it, the total number of likes rounded to the nearest hundred thousand, and the date it was originally tweeted. Tweets that have an identical number of likes are listed in date order with the most recent tweet ranked highest. The notes include the details surrounding the tweet.
