@Alexlinenko: Hello, I've reverted your message on the talk page because it seemed like a personal attack in the first look. You probably got reverted by other users because the link you added was uncited and redirects to a site without signs of that it's a official website. Also, if you're the employee of the company, I strongly suggest you to declare your conflict of interest; and notice that original research is not allowed in Wikipedia, so you cannot add information to articles directly that you only know.

Getz at the Gate (Stan Getz album) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Getz at the Gate (Stan Getz album), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CommanderWaterford (talk) 17:13, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

@CommanderWaterford I guess there's a mistake. I'm the person who moved it to Draft page. Please see the history. Ahmetlii (talk) 17:17, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

borat subsequent moviefilm main languages.[edit]

Hello, i simply edited borat subsequent moviefilm because i've watched the movie many times and yes it has romanian, hebrew and russian as well but mind that 40% of the movie is english and 50% is in bulgarian and the other 10% is in other languages, so it is fair to simply just put english and bulgarian because the other languages just have small bits or parts in the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.71.87.232 (talk) 17:24, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Unacceptable messages from Ahmetlii[edit]

My initial message from Wikipedia was a lovely one of welcome and I was really pleased to be accepted and be part of Wikipedia. Not long afterward I then received several messages from you which are clearly bullying and unhelpful and distressing. If you think you are some sort of editor being helpful you are not helping me or anyone else at all. As someone trying to contribute something to Wikipedia I have found that any contributions have been discounted and eliminated in an extremely unpleasant manner. Having been delilghted to join Wikipedia I am now very depressed by all if the bullying sarcastic comments by you and your pretend editors along with with your speedy rejection of everything I submitted which you seem to delight in disparaging. Why could you not be helpful instead of so critical with so many inexplicable rejections. Bullies and trolls are not acceptable online in 2021, perhaps Wikipedia might not realise this. If you are not a troll why would you hide behind the annonymous word Ahmetlii. Why not put your real full name in any messages to me. I have written a similar message to an person named Commander Waterford, if that is his real name. I have put refrences in this message to you but there does not seem to be any point in doing so for anything at all on Wikipedia. I challenge you to type the name susanmorrall into Wiki search and you will find that it appears in red type indicating it does not exist. This means that my supposed user page susanmorrall does not exist on Wikipedia although I had filled in and submitted information and photograph to the sandbox I can only presume all submissions were rejected so although I am susanmorrall and I am there at the top of the user page and am currently receiving more rejections messages about everything. However apparently according to Wikipedia this page Susanmorrall does not exist. For me now, this nonsense is not surprising. I am a real person and have signed with my real name.

  Sincerely Susan Morrall [1][2][3]

@Susanmorrall Hello, but I'm really sorry to say that you cannot create your user page or article on Wikipedia, as stated at Wikipedia:Autobiography. If you're really notable enough to be added to Wikipedia, it will eventually be added soon by someone. My intention was not bullying, instead those were standard messages and automaticlally-sent on Wikipedia, which one may have seen from this list. Sadly, being a real person doesn't directly qualify an article, as I'm also a real person but I'm not notable so I may not ever have any Wikipedia pages. Ahmetlii (talk) 18:15, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind reply.

@Alexlinenko: as I have stated before, those are not acceptable sources on Wikipedia. You need to find something like a reliable news source which states that the site aforementioned belongs to Telkomsel. Please don't spam the message on my talk page anymore, I will treat to it as uncivil. Ahmetlii (talk) 12:56, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Moving Bukeyeva Khadisha Bukeyevna to Draft[edit]

Hi, I am wondering why you removed the CSD Tag (without informing) from a more than obvious Hoax Draft:Bukeyeva Khadisha Bukeyevna (did you read the Article?) and instead moving it to draft. Did you check the user talk page of the creator before? Please make yourself comfortable when to draftify at Wikipedia:DRAFTIFY. CommanderWaterford (talk) 16:18, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

@CommanderWaterford I have just assumed good faith and I thought that the user used the template as a starting point (like, copied for changing parameters and create a new article) although I'm aware that the template is copied from Bill Gates. Ahmetlii (talk) 16:32, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

WikiCup 2021 May newsletter[edit]

The second round of the 2021 WikiCup has now finished; it was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 61 points to advance to Round 3. There were some impressive efforts in the round, with the top eight contestants all scoring more than 400 points. A large number of the points came from the 12 featured articles and the 110 good articles achieved in total by contestants, as well as the 216 good article reviews they performed; the GAN backlog drive and the stay-at-home imperative during the COVID-19 pandemic may have been partially responsible for these impressive figures.

Our top scorers in Round 2 were:

  • Botswana The Rambling Man, with 2963 points from three featured articles, 20 featured article reviews, 37 good articles, 73 good article reviews, as well as 22 DYKs.
  • New York (state) Epicgenius, with 1718 points from one featured article, 29 good articles, 16 DYKs and plenty of bonus points.
  • Republic of Venice Bloom6132, with 990 points from 13 DYKs and 64 "In the news" items, mostly recent deaths.
  • Bennington Flag.svg Hog Farm, with 834 points from two featured articles, five good articles, 14 featured article reviews and 15 good article reviews.
  • England Gog the Mild, with 524 points from two featured articles and four featured article reviews.
  • England Lee Vilenski, with 501 points from one featured article, three good articles, six featured article reviews and 25 good article reviews.
  • Transgender Pride flag.svg Sammi Brie, with 485 points from four good articles, eight good article reviews and 27 DYKs, on US radio and television stations.
  • Flag of the United Nations.svg Ktin, with 436 points from four good articles, seven DYKs and 11 "In the news" items.

Please remember that DYKs cannot be claimed until they have appeared on the main page. As we enter the third round, any content promoted after the end of Round 2 but before the start of Round 3 can be claimed now, and anything you forgot to claim in Round 2 cannot! Remember too, that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them (except for at the end of each round, when you must claim them before the cut-off date/time). When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Question from Treetopz (14:18, 18 May 2021)[edit]

Hello! I see you are also a member on WikiProject Turkey. I am interested in editing topics on Ottoman and Turkish history, but I don't really know how to get involved with the project. Any tips? Thanks! --Treetopz (talk) 14:18, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

@Treetopz You can start from any articles that needs to be improved (because Wikipedia is a voluntary project and you can start from anywhere you want to edit), or you can also select from this list, but it's important to note that the list not maintained actively for a while, so the requests may be outdated. You can also check here, which is a noticeboard. If you would like to show you're participating, you can add one of those wikitexts listed to your userpage. There's not really an obligation to join a project, but it's especially helpful for assessing articles, maintaining articles related to the WikiProject, and using it as a venue for talking related to the project's topic, as stated in here. Ahmetlii (talk) 16:04, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
@Ahmetlii Thank you very much! I'll check out the list page. --Treetopz (talk) 19:57, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

How to improve a wrongfully deleted article?[edit]

For what ever reason my drafted article was DELETED for being "promotional." Which just was not the case. I simply provided as much possible info I had on the subject and I was in the works of sourcing and citing more references AND adding much more to the article so that it could be published. How can I revive and improve all my hard work which was wrongfully deleted? What EXACTLY about this article is "promotional" and how can I improve it?

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigbirdboy (talkcontribs) 06:12, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

@Bigbirdboy the draft was fully cited with primary sources and most of it was containing original research as you pointed out, you can't simply add your information without citing, and therefore, it seemed like an advertisement instead of an encyclopedic piece. You can try WP:REFUND for getting back the draft, but it's better to rewrite in my opinion, because the draft wouldn't be accepted on that form. Ahmetlii (talk) 09:16, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Question from RedHerring101 (12:08, 9 June 2021)[edit]

Hi Ahmetlii New to this and need to edit a person's name and profile, but it doesn't allow me to do this for the title. Also, I corrected the name and edited her latest title at the company she works at and I got a message on the Talk section from an editor saying I was making malicious changes and these would therefore be refused. Any suggestions? I can provide the profile of the person if you need it? Thanks --RedHerring101 (talk) 12:08, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

@RedHerring101 Hello, you may request a move from here, but ensure that the name is demonstrated as the correct name of the person by reliable sources as it's a biography of living person. Ahmetlii (talk) 20:35, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

How to create a new article in wikipedia ? --RAJDEEP Angel of Death (talk) 06:38, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

@RAJDEEP Angel of Death You can check here. However, please ensure that the article you want to create is inside of Wikipedia's scope, and the article you will create will ensure certain criteria such as verifiability, no original research, and notability. Ahmetlii (talk) 20:31, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

Will you check and do correction pls[edit]

This article is about a Bangladeshi actress. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrin_Sultana_Laboni Now is it ok?

@Itsyourimran no it's not (as the content is not verifiable and it is trivial content), and plus don't use copyrighted image and don't state that it's your photo even though it's not.

Ahmetlii (talk) 20:23, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

Question from Itsyourimran (08:51, 13 June 2021)[edit]

Brother.I have providen Bangladeshi National Newspaper links as source, those are the top newspaper. You may not understand Bengali language thats why.But she is an actress and did two movies. And having lots of newses on those and also enlisted in top ten finalist in miss world Bangladesh 2018.And also got Miss world best behavior award. These are enough I think. And one Bangladeshi admin has already remove the deletions tag but you are doing without knowing about her.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrin_Sultana_Laboni Pls kindly remove the tag. --Itsyourimran (talk) 08:51, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

@Itsyourimran No, I will not, as I really think that the person is non-notable. However, you can declare your points to not delete in the deletion nomination page, as the admins will decide to deletion or undeletion. The sources may be top newspapers but the person is only notable for one event. That's my point. Ahmetlii (talk) 08:56, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Borther as an actress one event is enough as I know[edit]

Brother, Cool and I hope you havent seen pther Bangladeshi actresses Wikipedias. They have also the same sources and event.Being acteess and got approval anyone movie from sensorboard is enough. I hope you will be kind enough and will consider it to remove the tag.Jajakallah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrin_Sultana_Laboni

India Walton article[edit]

Hi - I've started a discussion about Jon698's vandalism here - Talk:India Walton. Please chime in if you have any comments. He's been deleting sourced material all day.TheNewMinistry (talk) 20:28, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

@TheNewMinistry Hello, my reason for the specific warning was due to calling the person as "dyslexic idiot", which is indeed against to WP:NPA and not related to the dispute over page (I didn't exactly know what was the dispute over the page while sending warning). Nobody has right to call other users as such, no matter what the person in question has done. Ahmetlii (talk) 20:32, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
    • His paragraph structure is jumbled and backwards, and many times when typing at me today he showed clear signs of dyslexia. Not saying that in a derogatory manner - I'm just saying that his contributions are heavily flawed because he can't make paragraphs flow in a cohesive manner. I had to fix his writing several times, and he just keeps reverting it all back (check out the edits for the past 12 hours). I see myself as a decent writer, so to have some guy not only delete sourced contributions (especially when the article is sparse to begin with), but start insulting my intelligence because he has some learning problem - I don't need that. I can admit when I'm wrong, but there's nothing to admit in this situation. If he keeps gatekeeping the article I'll just abandon it to forever look bad. WikiCup 2021 July newsletter[edit]

The third round of the 2021 WikiCup has now come to an end. Each of the sixteen contestants who made it into the fourth round had at least 294 points, and our top six scorers all had over 600 points. They were:

  • Botswana The Rambling Man, with 1825 points from 3 featured articles, 44 featured article reviews, 14 good articles, 30 good article reviews and 10 DYKs. In addition, he completed a 34-article good topic on the EFL Championship play-offs.
  • New York (state) Epicgenius, a New York specialist, with 1083 points from 2 featured article reviews, 18 good articles, 30 DYKs and plenty of bonus points.
  • Republic of Venice Bloom6132, with 869 points from 11 DYKs, all with bonus points, and 54 "In the news" items, mostly covering people who had recently died.
  • England Gog the Mild, with 817 points from 3 featured articles on historic battles in Europe, 5 featured article reviews and 3 good articles.
  • Bennington Flag.svg Hog Farm, with 659 points from 2 featured articles and 2 good articles on American Civil War battles, 18 featured article reviews, 2 good articles, 6 good article reviews and 4 DYKs.
  • Zulu (International Code of Signals) BennyOnTheLoose, a snooker specialist and new to the Cup, with 647 points from a featured article, 2 featured article reviews, 6 good articles, 6 good article reviews and 3 DYKs.

In round three, contestants achieved 19 featured articles, 7 featured lists, 106 featured article reviews, 72 good articles, 1 good topic, 62 good article reviews, 165 DYKs and 96 ITN items. We enter the fourth round with scores reset to zero; any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Please also remember that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them (one contestant in round 3 lost out because of this).

AfD comment[edit]

Hello Ahmetlii. Thanks for your comment in the AfD of Operation Tigris Shield which I have just closed. The result is that the title is to be a redirect to Operation Claw (2019–2020). Your comment implies that some of these articles have counterparts on the Turkish Wikipedia. It is unfortunate that there are no cross-wiki links from the English to the corresponding Turkish articles. If you have any idea of how to fix that, it might be useful. There is such a cross-link for tr:Pençe Operasyonları though I'm not sure it goes to the right place in English. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 19:27, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

@EdJohnston Hello, the article I mentioned was tr:Kararlılık Harekâtı, but sadly it didn't show on the page properly though I fixed it at that diff. The article I mentioned was same as Operation Tigris Shield page, but as I mentioned before it was not having enough content to warrant an article even though I searched in the internet for it, and therefore I suggested a redirect to Operation Claw (2019–2020) due to being predecessor of that. I hope I clarified my comment. Ahmetlii (talk) 08:25, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
