Master craftsman[edit]

Hi! Happy new year to you and your family! I have added a new section in the subject page. Kindly check. Thanks and regards RV (talk) 04:22, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi RAJIVVASUDEV, thanks and best wishes for you as well. My only input to that article was to revert a vandal, however I see no issues with your addition. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:22, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

ViraTrace article submission[edit]

Hi there.

Back in September you declined an article entitled “ViraTrace- 2nd Generation Contact Tracing” for not having external references showing significance. We’ve added those references and are hoping you could take a look!

Thanks! WayneThornton (talk) 04:05, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi WayneThornton thanks for adding references and resubmitting, however to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also I'm taking a semi-break from Wikipedia dealing with real-life issues for a while so I'm not currently reviewing any. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:25, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan[edit]

I added his achievements in which he lead PAF during a standoff with India shooting of two IAF planes, taking one pilot as POW and in panic the IAF shooting of its own Mi-17 helicopter killing 6 of its own troops.

The edit has been reverted. May I know why it has been reverted??? Maham Banori (talk) 21:37, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

Request on 19:14:44, 21 January 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Sj1233[edit]

Sir, I have submitted an article but it was declined sir please tell me that what I can include in my article to get it published.

Sj1233 (talk) 19:14, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi Sj1233 all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS) - your article is not sourced and does not show they meet the criteria see Wikipedia:Notability (people). Creating Article for my musical performances and creative work[edit]

Hi KylieTastic,

What's the best way/process to create this page? I had a draft somewhere (2019) and it's gone missing. I've been slowly building up an article with more details.

  • Hi Samseranylon Wikipedia is not for people to write about themselves, that's what your own website and social media are for. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. So the best way to get a Wikipedia article "for my musical performances and creative work" is to just keep working on your craft and if/when people notice and write about you and your work then someone will write an article about you here. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:02, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for reviewing[edit]

Hello! I just want to say thanks for reviewing my article, even though it didn't make the cut this time. This is a new account, because in the end I couldn't help but return to being a contributor. So having these articles go through a submission review was a new experience. Usually most of these articles seem to make it when not being subject to a submission (I was for example inspired to create this article after seeing that a similar science YouTuber I like, ElectroBOOM, has his own, stubby article). So thank you for taking the time to review it! It is definitely a learning experience.Euor (talk) 02:47, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi Euor no worries, when I saw it I hoped that there would be enough sources to pass WP:BIO as I've watching his work for many years. Unfortunately once you cut out YouTube sources and self listings such as there isn't quit enough. Having that much sourced directly by YouTube links will also be a red-rag to those that would judge if moved to main-space. Have another look about maybe more sources do exist, as you say many science YouTubers do end being notable enough. Unfortunately several of the 'news' sources available are not helpful (WP:THESUN and WP:DAILYMAIL) as depreciated sources. You could look at these and see if you can replace the primary YouTube sources with some:
Also good to show covered in other countries, especially non English show he has been noted in the world in general ...
I'm sure there are more but my internet has up to 40% packet loss so frankly a pain to browse. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 11:19, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Hello again! Thanks for so many links! I think I managed to work every one into the article. Would you have the time to look over into quickly, and tell me whether I should re-submit it?Euor (talk) 23:22, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
  • Hi Euor good work, to be fair to all submitters I don't review/re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random. (Also I'm probably working all week). However a quick glance shows much improved, the tools we use to highlight dubious sources no longer colours most of them red. I would submit again and hopefully it will get through, if not hopefully some helpful feedback... a decline is not a rejection it just says it needs more work. If you do want some other feedback you can ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. And if it isn't reviewed quickly it could be myself that picks it up later. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 10:18, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Kylie, I don't like overruling anyone on a reviewed article, but I have to on this one. This is notable under GNG, NMEDIA, and BCASTOUTCOMES. It is well-sourced, but I will admit, it could be better. I'll work on that momentarily. But, it is notable. I'm going to push it to mainspace and work on it there.

Again, I apologize for the overrule, I don't like doing it, but on this one (it's my speciality here), I have to. - NeutralhomerTalk • 01:25 on January 25, 2021 (UTC)

  • Hey Neutralhomer no problems at all - we (hopefully) are all here to get as many articles out and improved as possible. It's not overruling it's what we hope happens with all notable subjects in AfC that are declined because they don't yet show how they are notable when submitted. PrometheusEsoterica had already done the correct thing after the decline and added more and re-submitted when your saw it. The Seattle Magazine one you noted on there talk page that was very good was one of these added after the initial decline. Ideally we would have enough reviewers that we could take the time to look deeper, but with the number of submissions we get we just have to rely on submitters improving themselves, or finding other interested editors to help. So good outcome, feel free to improve and move any others you come across, or join AfC. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:11, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
