October 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:52, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Mithila, What is the source for this diff? For previous records, it is better to use the situation report, as it is a snap shot. For today's situation, it is not wrong to use the dashboard or any other reliable source.--Chanaka L (talk) 09:14, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Updating net worth[edit]

All you need to do on pages such as Leonard Lauder is change the US$ value, the date in brackets (Month, Year is enough) and the access-date. Otherwise more experienced editors just waste our precious time trying to clear up the mess you leave behind! Edwardx (talk) 11:25, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Unconstructive edits[edit]

What are you trying to do in edits like this, this, this, this, this, and this? Edits to signatures, even if trivial, can be detrimental because bots rely on them to tell which conversations to archive, etc. This edit would have also tripped up the archiving bot. Please refrain from making these meaningless and potentially damaging edits. If your intention was to refresh the server cache, see the instructions in Wikipedia:Purge. Disambiguation link notification for December 10[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chuck Dalton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Windsor.

In line with recommendations, as per WP:MOS/Linking, a link should appear only once in an article as an excessive number of links often makes it difficult to identify links likely to aid the reader's understanding significantly. In this regard it is not necessary for every mention of Sri Lankan rupee in an article's infobox to have a separate link to the rupee article. Essentially a link should appear only once in the article and if helpful for readers, a link may be repeated in infobox but shouldn't be repeated for everytime there is a mention. Aitken Spence[edit]

Hi, I reassessed Aitken Spence article to mid importance, because I don't think it does not fulfil the criteria of "Subject contributes a depth of knowledge", the subject being here is Sri Lanka. Kindly refer Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Release Version Criteria#Priority of topic. Aitken Spence or any other company for that matter doesn't contribute to the knowledge of Sri Lanka as a whole. For example, Microsoft has only a mid importance in the context of WikiProject United States. Regards.--Chanaka L (talk) 03:09, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Graphite mining in Sri Lanka[edit]

I have noticed that you have showed an interest in economic-related matters in Sri Lanka. Recently, through a work-related matter, a company were talking about the importation of high quality crystalised graphite from Sri Lanka. Naturally this grabbed my attention so I went onto check what information was available on Wikipedia. Reading the Graphite mining in Sri Lanka article I was dismayed at its poor quality and content. Given your recent efforts on rubber, coconut and Coffee production in Sri Lanka I thought that you might want to collaborate with me on doing a major overhaul of the Graphite mining in Sri Lanka article. Let me know your thoughts. Dan arndt (talk) 09:15, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
