Appealing my Block[edit]

Request reason:

I was indefinitely blocked in November of 2019. I was being stubborn. I kept removing “ also known as Tahoma” after the official name of Mount Rainier from Mt. Rainier’s WP page. I now know that I should have proposed my change on the WP Talk Page instead of continuing to revert. I have been banned indefinitely for 6 months (November 2019-May 2020). It took me longer to recognize that my extreme stubbornness and insistence on changing the WP pages has been disruptive and not constructive. I also used sock puppets to edit while on ban. I now realize how wrong I was to be so incredibly headstrong. I know it’s not an excuse for my behavior, but I have what used to be called Aspergers Syndrome, now referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD). I am in the high functioning part of the Spectrum. Not sure if you’re familiar. It basically means that I am intelligent intellectually but have deficits in social skills. I would like to appeal my ban. Please give me a chance to show I can be a constructive member of Wikipedia. Thank You for your consideration. NapoleonX (talk) 05:47, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Thanks for your understanding, NapoleonX. The weird editing style of wikimedia markdown combined with the rules and such make this a fairly good place for people on one spectrum or another. Please try to use your powers for good, and leave this unlock message on your talk page until August 2020. tedder (talk) 07:39, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.

Electoral college[edit]

The electoral college versus popular vote split is mentioned in all articles on presidents who won the college but not the popular vote. Your edit to Muboshgu's talkpage [1] is a personal attack in retaliation for a perfectly appropriate revert, and I appreciate that you've removed it/ But please, let's not go down the Rainier/Tahoma path again on another subject. Acroterion (talk) 21:40, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Yeah I deleted it after I posted it. In fact right after I posted it. I hoped nobody had seen it. I didn’t even have think long. As soon as I posted I regretted it. NapoleonX (talk) 22:30, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for doing that. Acroterion (talk) 22:32, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
I appreciate that you did as well. Of course, as it was my talk page, I still got the notification for it anyway. The notices, as they say, are indeed not meant to suggest that you've done anything wrong, but serve as a notice to be careful in editing these highly sensitive areas, because it can easily go wrong even with the best of intentions. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:12, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

September 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing an article on Wikipedia, you will see a small field labeled "Edit summary" shown under the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Ibadibam (talk) 03:39, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

When making mobile edits, the box is labeled "Summary:". If you add a reason for the change you are making, it will help other editors like me understand why you think the change is necessary or helpful. Thanks, and happy editing! Ibadibam (talk) 03:41, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Sonny Perdue, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
